It was definitely a great time for them, as they thoroughly enjoyed the lion dance performance - an entirely new experience for a lot of the students, who are largely foreign nationals.

I have been living in Malaysia for 8 months. The first time I couldn’t stand the weather. Malaysian weather is usually hot. So I considered going back to Korea but now I have adapted to the Malaysian climate. When I was in Seoul, I tried to do many exercises to lose weight. I wanted to lose my weight but I couldn’t succeed. Instead, I got pain on my left knee. Now I can’t exercise at all. I can only swim . In my Malaysian apartment, there is a big swimming pool. So I can swim everyday evening. How lucky! That is my most exciting experience in Malaysia.

I had the most exciting experience on my Redang Island trip. I wetn to Redang with my ELS friends when we finished our final examination last month. We took an airplane and then a boat to Redang. When i took the boat, I was excited because of the nice view. The sea was beautiful and the weather was nice. We arrived Redang and after that we went snorkelling. We could see a lot of fishes in the shallow sea. I will never forget Redang. I want to go to Redang again before i go back to Japan.

The most exciting experience of me in Malaysia was in the Redang Island. I went there with my friends. All of them were from ELS just like me. Mr. Sue who works for ELS arranged whole stuff, so we didn’t need to worry about anything. We stayed there for three days. That was a wonderful place. We played a lot and took a lot of picture. Beautiful sea, nice beach, comfortable hotel, everything there gave us amazing and unforgettable memories. Redang Island is the one place that you have to go in Malaysia.

This coming 31st August, Malaysia will be celebrating its 50th Independence Day as a sovereign nation. 50 years ago this day, the first prime minister of Malaysia, Tunku Abdul Rahman (pictured with right arm raising), declared the nation’s birth to the world at Merdeka Stadium. This picture has captured that important moment in history. Sitting behind Tunku in traditional Malay ruler dress are the Sultans and in full Victorian regalia are, the British High Commissioner to Malaya, Sir Donald MacGillivray (in black) and the Duke of Gloucester Prince Henry (in white).

A host of activities have been organized to commemorate this important Malaysian event in conjunction with Visit Malaysia Year 2007. For more details, click here.

Genting Highlands is the best hangout place in Malaysia. There are many places to hang out in Malaysia. One of them is Genting Highlands. Genting Highlands is a good place for foreigners and tourists.
The weather is completely different from Kuala Lumpur. The first time, I went to Genting Highlands was about fifteen days ago. It was very cool. I saw many people especially tourists coming and spending their free time there.
It is a place for amusement. So, you can see what you like. For example; water fall, amusement park, many of restaurants and food, river, boats, etc. For these reasons, I think Genting Highlands is the best hangout place in Malaysia.

My favorite hang out place is Ikea. Ikea is a shopping place where you can get all your household items like furniture, etc.
You can also relax in Ikea’s coffee house where they serve a variety of food. I like to hang out there because I can sit at this place and talk with my friends and enjoy my ice cream which cost only RM 1. It is very convenient for families to go shopping. They can keep their children with Ikea’s caretakers and go to do their shopping.

KLCC is my favorite hangout. There are many shops there. I always go there after class to check on the products. There is a sale now and I got my favorite wallet at a good price. Visit KLCC and you can be happy.

My best hangout place in KL is KLCC park. I like to spend time at KLCC in the evening, because it isn’t hot. I usually sit near the beautiful fountain and see it with my friends. Sometimes, I buy some fruits or snacks from KLCC mall and eat all together. After class, we often spend our times in there and talk about our class or our tentions. It is a nice place for us to release our stresses.

My best hang out place in K.L is Rotiboy. It is a bakery in KLCC on the underground floor. There are many kind of bread. But the most popular bread is the mocha bread named Rotiboy. When I want to buy that I must stand in line and wait for over 20 minutes. Its taste harmonized with coffee and sweet butter. I like Rotiboy very much. I go there at least twice a week.
